Apostolos Klinakis, Biomedical Expert.
Dr. Klinakis studied Biology at the University of Crete and obtained his PhD in Molecular Genetics from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB) of the Foundation of Research and technology (FORTH) in Crete, Greece. He then moved to Columbia University in New York to study cancer biology. He became an Assistant Professor level Investigator at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens (BRFAA) in 2009, an Associate Professor level Investigator (2015) and a Full Professor in 2019. His expertise and research focus is the investigation of how aberrant signaling affects stem cell biology, epithelial regeneration and cancer.
